Welcome to the journal “Business in The Dollhouse”. The journal is aimed to get customer’s reviews about website templates done by me and available for sale on ThemeForest.

Hello, my name is Tanya, I am a web designer and front-end developer from Tel Aviv, Israel. This website is settled out to gain customer’s reviews, notes and suggestions concerning my web templates.

Once you are willing to tell what do you think about certain template, or you have suggestions or you experience some problems you can post here your opinion, suggestion or complaint.

Rating system on ThemeForest is not that very helpful as well comment box. The problem is that rating is pretty faceless and comment box is full of various notes, compliments and questions what makes difficult to extract meaningful things related to design, code and functionality of the template. Therefore viewers’ and customers’ reviews might be helpful and functional both for me and for other people.

Happy Birthday, Grandfather...

Today, my grandfather would be 92 years old... Today I cannot say him “Happy Birthday, Grandfather!”,  but I remember him and always shall...
They say a real man is that man who built a house, brought up children and planted a tree. My grandfather did yet more... He was a man from whom I learnt a lot and who will forever stay for me a symbol of a real man. Such strong, smart, honest men are hardly exist today...

My grandfather Alexander Reva was born on 25th January, 1920 in Soviet Union. He was an elder child in family, had two brothers and one sister. In 1938 he was called up to regular military service to Red Army (rus: РККА, The Workers’ And Peasants’ Red Army), served in Baltic region. In June 1941, Nazi troops invaded Soviet Union. In first days of War having committed some light fault he was sent to some distant point to the guard-house where stayed for several days. In the meantime the division he served in was destroyed, all Soviet soldiers were killed by Germans. My grandfather stayed alive and kept serving on Eastern Front in other division staff. He was wounded severely and spent full 1942 in hospital. Returned to front. In 1945 participated in Operation Samland (capture of Koenigsberg, Eastern Prussia). Met a beautiful woman (she will become my grandmother) in Koenigsberg, they both served in Prussia till late 1946 and finally returned both to my grandfather’s home. After almost 9 years of military service peace life has begun finally... In 1947 they got officially married, rented a small house. In 1948 my mother was born.
Hard work, hunger, destruction... But life slowly was improving... In 1954 my aunt was born. In 1960 my grandparents moved to the city of Frunze, bought their house. My grandfather worked hard at his daytime job and at home (nothing was those times in house, even water was brought from public water station...). He was awarded by local enterprise and city authorities not once for his honest and hard labour.
He was a great man, great soldier, great husband, great father and best grandfather ever.

Old Bakery–HTML5 Parallax Effect Website Template

“Old Bakery” was created in September, 2011 and this template has interesting Parallax effect. To be honest, I am not fully agree with definition “Parallax”, I would think that “layered” fits more this structure. The sense of the effect is that layered pages scroll under and above other pages. The effect now is in pretty wide use and it is undoubtedly very interesting and entertaining. Not every website such effect matches, but with some experimenting it can work. I imagined some hypothetic local bakery business, it may be too much avantgarde for traditional business but I decided to give a try. Anyway, it is just a template and with some effort it can be converted into anything totally different. You can view full list of features of the template on TF page and here is live demo.

Ship Of Wonders HTML5 website template

“Ship Of Wonders” website template was created in August, 2011. It is HTML5 horizontally scrollable template with 5 custom backgrounds inspired by Medieval illumination art. It has plenty of features, lots of scripts, scrollable and static pages. Full list of features and particularities is available on TF page. This template was awarded by ThemeForest and appeared in Weekly Features. Template sells relatively well and up today it was sold 262 times. Best screen resolution for this template is 1920px x 1080px (backgrounds do not shrink, so in order to see it in full beauty wide screen is desirable). You can view the demo.
